I'M A PIYO INSTRUCTOR!!!!!

My PiYo shirt came in the mail a few days ago and I was so excited because I got to wear it to instructor training on Saturday!!!!

I have been practicing my PiYo by following the DVD program for the past few weeks. However, PiYo Live is totally different from the workout program set! It was completely awesome though!! I learned so much about how to teach it and how to follow the choreography!! Thankfully my parents are musicians and I was a dancer when I was little so I have some experience with following music and the 32 count! Luckily for you, when you come to my class, you don't have to worry about any of that!!! All you have to do is follow me and have a great time!!!

I was so glad my bestie Jill was there with me!! It was so much fun hanging out with her and learning this together! Anything is better with your bestie along!!

I have to tell you that PiYo Live is awesome!! It is full of moves that will give you energy, build your muscles, and increase your flexibility! I am sore today because of some of the new moves that had my body moving in ways it hasn't before! I felt invigorated afterwards though!! You will too!!! I was so pumped after class that I went home and kept practicing!! I have a lot to work on but I am excited to start teaching soon!!

I'm looking at 2 places right now to teach. I don't want to give it away yet since nothing is 100% yet! It should be finalized this week though!! So stay tuned as classes will begin soon!!!

It was an awesome day, with an awesome group of people!!

Always remember, Be Strong, You Never Know Who You Are Inspiring!!

Project: Garage 2016 Part 4: Trusses, roof work, framing, and a new back door

I am so stinking excited about the work that has been done on my garage this week!  I am so incredibly thankful for our builders (Hometown Remodeling, LLC)!  They have put in a lot of work and it has been incredibly hot this week.  I love the sun and I love to lay out in the sun, but even I didn’t want to go out this week!! Here’s what went down this week: Monday, July 18, 2016 :  The trusses were delivered while the kids and I were at swim lessons.  That was all that we thought was going to happen today.  Luckily the builders finished their other job up early and headed to our house to get started on setting the trusses.  They got about half of them set up before quitting for the day.   Tuesday, July 19, 2016 :  The builders arrived at 8:30 am to start on finishing the trusses, putting the wood down for the roof, and  tar paper to get ready for the shingles.  These 3 guys worked super hard all day.  They di...

When Life Throws You Lemons--My Comeback

I know I haven't’ been the best blogger as of late.  Honestly, I haven’t felt like sharing much of what I’ve been going through the past year.  Maybe I felt ashamed for struggling so much and wanted to continue to give off the persona that everything was perfect.  I’m not perfect. Far from it. But that’s what makes me real and human. I think that’s what people want to see and read about.  Not everyone is a fitness model or perfect wife and mother. So here it is! My comeback to blogging. It’s going to be real and raw and everything I’ve kept inside.   Last year when we returned from our Disney vacation (June 2017), I started back into training for my 3rd Madison Marathon.  I wanted a PR so badly for this race. I wanted so badly to be under 5 hours. My training sucked! With EJ starting peewee football and my class load at work (I’ll get into that later), every time I thought about this race, I dreaded it.  Honestly, I was falling more and mo...

A Change in Mindset and Goals

Since reading The Magnolia Story and my experience with my wedding rings, I have changed my mindset about so many things.  One in particular being my obsession with running and working out.  I know that my running and working out is time-consuming and a lot of our free time revolves around my running schedule because I have set these lofty goals to run races and a certain number of miles in a year.  This has also caused me to be ridiculously burned out from running.  I have lost my love of it a little bit.  So to gain that back, the first thing I am doing is to NOT set a mileage goal for next year.  I still want to train and race, but I am going to follow my plans more and not overdo it as much just to chase a number.  I am going to run more for feel and for the freedom it gives me.  I am going to run with friends more.  I am going to make running fun and enjoyable again.  I’m going to concentrate on getting stronger with more stre...
